About Social Butterfly International

Social Butterfly International exists to increase the visibility of marginalised women within male-dominated sectors of the music industry.

We are building a culturally rooted ecosystem that nurtures visibility, access, and professional growth for women in music and the wider creative industries. Through community programmes, workshops, networking events, artist showcases, content creation opportunities, education, and employability initiatives, we help women gain the skills, confidence, connections, and opportunities needed to thrive.

Our work tackles systemic barriers that continue to limit access to industry pathways. Research continues to show significant gender inequality within the music industry, with women facing discrimination, underrepresentation, and limited access to decision-makers and opportunities.

At Social Butterfly, every woman is seen, supported, and celebrated.
